I’m Ranga, an expressionist oil painter based in London. My work is rooted in emotion, guided more by what I feel than what I see. I’m drawn to moody, atmospheric seascapes shaped by memory and imagination, where waves, skies and coastlines merge into abstract forms through expressive brushwork and texture.

My artistic journey began with painting, exhibiting and taking on commissions before a passion for theatre led me into over two decades of teaching, directing and producing. In 2022, inspired by my move to London, I returned to painting with a renewed sense of creativity.

While expressionism is at the heart of my practice, I sometimes paint British landscapes as a way to slow down, reconnect with the world around me and return to my work with fresh eyes.

For me, painting is a journey of self-expression. Every piece holds a moment, a feeling or a fragment of my story. But art doesn’t end with the artist—it invites the viewer to bring their own emotions, memories and interpretation. That shared connection is what brings each painting to life.
